Last month we lost our jobs. This month we made new ones.
Introducing X BUTTON: an independent gaming network from three ex-IGN employees. A new weekly Nintendo podcast! A new weekly video game podcast! And that’s just the start, but we can’t do it without your help! www.patreon.com/cw/XButtonShow

I was a constant subscriber to Game Informer magazine growing up, so guesting on their podcast this week to talk gaming news and promote @xbuttonshow.bsky.social was so wonderful. They've got such a passionate, knowledgeable, and funny crew over there. Nothing but love for them!
This week on The Game Informer Show, @brianaltano.bsky.social joins us to talk all about bsky.app/profile/xbut...! Then we talk Switch Sports Resort, horror games, and BioWare's closure.

This one was definitely up there with the best for me. He's just such a warm, kind, and completely open person and talking with him about the creative process was just surreal. Hope you dig it, Erik!

Still have a few more projects going up before my last day at IGN this Friday. All of them really special to me. One of them a 44 minute long conversation with legendary artist and director @realgdt.bsky.social.
Hope you all enjoy this! I'm really proud of it.

I don’t know what’s next but I’ve had hundreds of people asking me to keep making shows and various other assorted nonsense that made them smile at some point in their lives and how could I possibly say no to that? That’s so exciting to me. Thanks for having me. I’m just getting started.

There’s no real way to capture all those great memories and the people I shared them with in just a few sentences. The outpouring of love today has been overwhelming and makes me want to do a big fucking happy cry. I’m so grateful I got to do this for so long with (and for!) so many great people.

Hey! So after seventeen and a half years, October 2nd will be my last day at IGN. It was genuinely a dream come true to do this thing for so long alongside some of the most talented people on earth. I got to travel the world, meet my heroes, and make a ton of really fun shows and videos. An honor ♥️

So I would’ve loved a new Bowser song in this one but Peaches is an original song they made for that film specifically, not a licensed song they had to pay to borrow. Definitely different than backing a scene with licensed pop music!
