My Annual Reminder. Toys for Tots: You buy a toy, a kid gets that toy. Nothing in between.
Tip: Skip batteries (a dead toy is a letdown when there's no battery money) and skip sets with a million tiny pieces.

Dear reader, the back pain did not resolve itself in the next couple of days. 🤬
A week after I wrote that, the pain persisted, sometimes spiking high, sometimes a deep ache. A week ago, I finally visited my doc who put me on muscle relaxants, a week of steriods, and weapons-grade ibuprofen.

The worst is over. I'm still in occasional pain from deep muscle bruising & damage from pain-induced spasms, but only while sitting: standing or laying flat is fine. All should resolve itself in the next couple of days.
Kidney stone, left side. This is going to be a rollercoaster of a night. 😫

"There is an unchanged 0.4 cm enhancing nodule in the fundus of the left internal auditory canal."
My hearing in my left ear has been fading for many years but in early 2025, I had it formally checked to see what's up. We found a small tumour on the auditory nerve.
