I have a Barry Melrose memory that doubles as one of the most cherished experiences of my sports writing career.

You'll recall that when the Bruins won Game 7 in 2011 to win the Stanley Cup in Vancouver, there was rioting in the city. Media folks were told not to leave the arena.
