apparently some of the cool kids(tm) are doing threads of all the media they first read/first watch/etc this year, so i'm making the extremely strategically wise decision to try to start doing this midway through the year, which means i have six months of backlog to add. i'm really good at things!

"with Claude, we will no longer need lightly stoned weirdos who work at record stores because they are neurodivergent as hell and some band you've never heard of but is about to change your life is their special interest" these tech bros really hate anyone who was cooler than them in high school

What I know from speaking to people in the building, this would not happen.
BUT if you get this player survey you should still tell them Absolutely No!

If they do it I'm going scorched earth and never buying another magic card again.
This is not an empty threat.

If WotC prints even a single Harry Potter card let alone a secret lair or a set I'm out.
100%.
No hesitation at all.

Doing research on Scryfall for a future episode and I realized:
There have been MORE new Legendary Creatures printed in 2026 than Non-Legendary Creatures.
I knew it was bad, but... damn.

i feel like "i am feeling ten feet, ten feet tall" in carly rae jepsen's "emotion" is meant to contextually be read as positive, but as a subby trans girl who doesn't love being as tall as she is--

A woman can crawl through glass, essentially, for the sake of the woman she loves and y'all will call it bait just because she moves out of her gf's house in the end to learn how to stand on her own two feet for a bit...by moving within an easy train ride away. Fuck off.
Goodbye, Lara isn't "losing chess to a dog" levels of queerbaiting, but it is just as disappointing: aftermath.site/goodbye-lara-y...

i’d really appreciate it if the only pro-trans athlete arguments i saw weren’t like “there aren’t even that many of them! it literally doesn’t matter!”
it… matters. and i’d like there to be more. and i’d like that to be portrayed as like… a positive thing to work towards.

pretty cool how one of the founding gatewatch members is now a “we’ll put her in one set a year if you’re good, but only in the commander deck.”

guys i have exceptional news about the reality fracture story
i’m never asking mtg story for something i think i want again.
i am out of tears.
the reality fracture story is an all timer. i’ve never been happier to be so wrong. i should have listened to my own advice and trusted the process (when it comes to story, anyway.)
