The chances of developing prostate cancer are higher for men or people with a prostate who are:
• black
• have Jewish heritage
• or have a family history of prostate, breast or ovarian cancer.
If you fall into one of these groups you should speak to your GP to discuss your risk.

Anyone of any age with ovaries can develop ovarian cancer although it is most common during and after the menopause. But when ovarian cancer is detected at the earliest stage 9 in 10 women will survive. If you are worried make sure you contact your GP.
