Bad: Alaska's GOP governor just refused to commit to certifying Mary Peltola if she wins Senate race. Trump is seizing on NYT story to pressure Rs to decline to certify her.

I talked to election law experts. They explain why this will likely fail but get very nasty:

Inside Trump’s Dark Plot to Keep Senate in GOP Hands Even If Dems Win
Senate control could come down to Alaska. Can Republicans really refuse to certify or seat Mary Peltola if she wins? Probably not. But they sure can gum it up.

Worth noting that IEEE were, let’s say, less than fulsomely transparent with journalists about what these studies were. Had to run a few Python scripts to identify these studies, why they’d been pulled, and the full total reported here (3,000 retractions so far this year).

Did you know that you can get the second MMR shot soon after the first? The recommendation for 4-6 years old is based on logistical, not immunity, reasons. In an outbreak, CDC recommends earlier shots. My latest: www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
Families in the US are opting for earlier measles vaccinations amid outbreak
Parents are opting for a second shot of MMR vaccine sooner, which aligns with guidance in Germany, the UK and France
