I'm Caal, a french 2D artist who love fantasy, especially creatures and characters. I love dark atmospheres and I'm open for projects (2D artist in video games, illustrations for TTRPG, and in the future I would love to draw book covers as well)

Flowy merperson drawn in sage ink, crammed on one side of the page with one of their hands partially out of frame because I improvised the drawing and didn't know it'd end up there when I started. The humanoid creature is swimming up. The lower half of their body is a little bit less polished than the top. On the left, I scribbled little swatches of all the inks I currently have on rotation in my pens. I quite like that colour palette as a whole. This sketch was done using a single colour, the third one on the list, "Sage Serenade", by Ferris Wheel Press.

Their whole “we’re democratising art” “stop gatekeeping art” are very clearly bullshit when you see it’s always been about attacking artists, nothing more.
Instagram post Cara Needs Your Help! Cara needs your help. We have been scraped a third time. This is now a targeted attack meant to cause artists pain. Scrapers know we're a volunteer project with no financial means to take action. So they say it's legal, believing themselves untouchable. We're taking action.

late 2022 when #GazeAnEagleBlind was being concepted (even before the title got settled) I was going nuts sketching studies of Felix and Jolanka on dates or transiting

I intended to finish these at some point but I've def moved on since then, still discovering these again I'm charmed
