@nationalreview.bsky.social using the word "embarrassing" to describe ANYthing Dr. Fauci wrote in his PRIVATE diary, especially while the ignorant malignance he had to manage with while fighting CoVid is again POTUS ... Fauci's life's work has saved the life of someone you each love. You ingrates.

Pope Leo: Jesus does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war.

Response: what about the US fighting Hitler, etc. Is Leo saying the US acted unjustly in those circumstances?

But I look at the meaning of the word "wage." To me, war is WAGED by the invader. The invaded then responds.

The 1/13 video shows
Alex Pretti kicking out the tail light of a federal truck. The agents then took him down & broke his rib. Breaking the tail light was a felony. Pretti resisting felony arrest would, to my understanding, be the only way to justify them taking him down. Why did they let him go?

I'm so grateful to have taught and, even more so, learned from this man during & since I was his MSW field instructor. He's such a powerful voice, not only for the Nepali-Bhutanese community, but for all immigrants, refugee or otherwise.

At this critical moment, Vivek Ramaswamy's record reflects ambition without accountability, identity without responsibility and faith without compassion.

Rs say the new cell phone video taken by the ICE agent who killed Renee Good completely vindicates him. I don't see that. I see open road ICE could use to go around her, an order that she get out, ICE trying to open her door, & him walking in front of the car (against training). What am I missing?

And this is why MTG's break with Trump over the Epstein files is/was meaningless to me, even if it has/had some entertainment value. She is no more morally correct today than she was a week ago. Epstein is the lowest of low-hanging fruit. (AFAO stands for America First, America Only). She is not ok.

@nationalreview.bsky.social Y'all reporting about crimes committed by a man whose 20 yr sentence was commuted at 8 yrs by Biden when Trump commuted sentences of most Jan 6 convicted felons who did far worse & served far less time... so on brand. So much gaslighting. Standing athwart what, you say?

One @nationalreview.bsky.social writer mentioned the MI rampage today, & it's not even on their site landing page now. Still 1 more article than they had for Rep Hortman's assassination though. Nothing yet about NC/other mass shootings this weekend. But at least 1 new Kirk piece. Deafening silence.
September 29, 2025 at 6:46 PM
@nationalreview.bsky.social how do you have articles (rightly) decrying Kirk's murder when you had 0 about the MN Rep/Sen shootings or the ambush murders of ID firefighters? How does Zarutska's murder justify more outcry than Rep Hortman's? You are no more moral than any of the killers. Nor was CK.
September 10, 2025 at 11:21 PM
I can simultaneously not mourn Charlie Kirk as a man while I mourn the neverending violence & death wrought by guns. I cannot, however, fail to point out how pols & orgs like @nationalreview.bsky.social will cover this. After no articles about Hortman/Hoffman or the Idaho firefighter ambush.
September 10, 2025 at 9:34 PM
It was an evil act. Know what else was an evil act in Minneapolis? The assassinations/attempted assassinations of state reps & their spouses. About which nary one @nationalreview.bsky.social full article appeared, much less an editorial. Basically ditto for the ambush of firemen in ID. Pro-life? 🙄

The fact that their excerpt starts: "agents are simply doing their job" Uhm, so were the Gestapo. They give them a pass? Police violently enforcing Jim Crow (the law of the land then)? Soldiers at the My Lai massacre? Can they possibly be this obtuse or oblivious? My God. The willful depravity.
ICE Is No Gestapo

Agents are simply doing their job, which is a function of the legitimate power of the federal government to regulate immigration and to expel those with no legal right to live or work in this country.

@nationalreview.bsky.social oh look. NR finally published an article about the MN assassinations now that your commenters can say that his claims that Walz made him do it prove it isn't a right-wing motivated murder. 🙄😒 'Scottahoy' went right there. Still await your condemnation of the ID killer.
July 15, 2025 at 10:03 PM
The murder of the R's summer intern is tragic. Just like the murders of the Israeli staffers & the murders of 2 ID firemen & a MN Rep/her husband. 3rd/4th murdered by right wing men. And @nationalreview.bsky.social covered DC, but not ID & barely MN. "Leftist" MSM covered all. NR is "pro-life." 🙄😒🤢

@esotericcd.bsky.social trying to figure how, even if someone likes mass detention/deportation of UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS (no human is illegal), they're able to ignore the sadism displayed by 47 et al regarding the swamp/alligators & praise the concentration camp. What kind of person does that?

The fact that @nationalreview.bsky.social publishes an article taking @markpocan.bsky.social to task for telling Stephen Miller to go back to 1930s Germany rather than taking Miller to task for his comments about immigration r/t Zohran Mamdani is pathetic.
