I just watched my wife strangle a deer to death with her bare hands. It was hit by 2 cars outside our house; the injuries were surely but slowly fatal. She ended its suffering. That woman can do hard things that my heart breaks at the thought of, and thats one of the reasons I love her to death.

31 apple trees and this is my only apple this year. BUT thats actually one more than I expected because most of the orchard is too young to be bearing fruit. The arkansas black blossomed this spring and it set a single fruit- unexpected for a sterile triploid with no visible pollinators nearby.
