I think the thing I'm proudest of about Cascade Cascade is fostering an environment for writers in which their work is valued and our success is shared. It's given me a lot of hope to see that there's an audience willing to pay a little more for a publication that treats people well.
also: great to work with. in an era where writers get treated worse and worse, this magazine was thoughtful, responsive, paid fairly, and even decided on their own volition to pay their writers a bit more when they saw subscriptions had gone up. That's really cool. We need more projects like this.
