My new affirmation: I will create for me, because I am enough.
Haven't drawn digitally in FOREVER!!!
I'm still new to csp so it's taking me a long time to get anything done. But, I'm having a lot of fun just messing around with the symmetry ruler.

Trying to start including art in my journal. I tried out some colored pencils. I don't use them a lot and I think it shows, but I'm still pretty happy with my big blue Bruce.

I hope we're just in some sort of transitional period in fandom/media consumption and this doesn't last, but I really need people to realize that bullying creators for not catering specifically to what they want or expect out of their creations is not, in fact, a good or normal or cool thing to do.

This is the only Harry Potter argument worth making
It wouldn't matter if Harry Potter was a singular, unmatched work of genius. Giving Rowling money is actively making the world a worse place and killing trans folks. There's no book good enough or nostalgic enough for that to be worth it.

This is not a case of separating the art from the artist because the art DOES NOT MATTER. I do not care about whether or not it’s the greatest work ever written, you’re LITERALLY COMPLICIT IN HER CHILD-MURDERING AGENDA if you give her a penny.

I really can't put this more clearly.
If you watch the new Harry Potter series, you are directly funding the genocide of trans people, because that's what Rowling gleefully spends HP revenue on.
There's no "death of the author" here, no "there's lots of awful creators." You are funding genocide.

if Anita Bryant was still alive and promoting Florida orange juice, you couldn't pay me enough to drink it. how is Harry Potter any different?
here is a timeline of JK Rowling's transphobia: web.archive.org/web/20241225...
& here is where her HP money is going: www.advocate.com/news/jk-rowl...

J.K. Rowling uses Harry Potter wealth to fund anti-transgender organization
This is where "Harry Potter" profits are going.

At my job, I get to teach different art materials and skills to my participants. This week we did alcohol ink on ceramic dishes. This was the clear favorite of what I made, both for me and my participants. But I'll put some of the others below.

I finished my first melted frame project! Mostly finished anyway. We don't look at the back.
I'm pretty happy with it. There are definitely a lot of issues and I learned a lot in the process. I still have a few more of these made up, so I'll try again soon.

I've been making little frames with melted plastic. They're super fun, but trimming the edges has proven dangerous. I got two pretty significant cuts from it.

I have seen numerous, valid, complaints about KWS, but you're still forcing it. I'm 29. I've lived in Ohio for 8 years. I have NEVER had to verify anything to this extent. I can watch literal porn, on various sites, w/o this, but I can't look at a drawing here? You should reevaluate.

I've been working on these little foliage boxes recently. These are actually some of the first ones I made forever ago. I haven't taken pictures of the new ones yet. I'm thinking of selling them, but I have no idea what to price them 😩

One of my participants left a palette with blue, green, and magenta. I didn't want it to go to waste so I tried a value study using a screenshot from DPR ARTIC's Mirror Ball mv. I went w/o a sketch and I think it shows🤣 plus I ran out of paint. I dont like it but it was a fun exercise #art #painting
