The proposals at Chapelcross will make it the largest data centre in the world. At its peak, it could be consuming the same amount of electricity as more than 2 million homes.

Chapelcross cannot be built. The Government and Dumfries & Galloway Council must reject it.

This evening at Holyrood my colleague Ariane Burgess is leading a debate on building Scotland’s resilience to wildfires and other climate shocks.

Right now the Conservatives are leading a debate at Holyrood saying we should support Rosebank and Jackdaw.

We should not. We need to focus on a transition away from oil and gas, improving insulation and sustainable heating systems instead of pretending nothing is wrong and continuing to drill.

The NION Campaign has now reached 113,000.

That’s 113,000 cis women who stand with trans people and say “No!” to bigotry and discrimination.

If you find what the UK has done to trans people’s rights and healthcare appalling, and you haven’t signed their letter yet, please do.👇

The Scottish Parliament backed our motion to boycott, divest from, and sanction Israel.

Yet, there are still companies with links to Israeli war crimes in Palestine getting taxpayer contracts in Scotland. It's time to fully implement the boycott and cancel these contracts.

Thrilled that Scotland’s newest train station is in Balgray and will give folks nearby more opportunities to use public transport.

We need to get our public transport systems fit for purpose for 2026, and that means more buses, more train stations, and better integration of ticketing.

Submitted a motion this week to celebrate Occupational Health Awareness Week.

Practical ideas for ways to enable folk to continue working, or return to work are essential, and can be life changing. For me it gave me confidence to continue working with a pain condition.

Absolutely delighted to be getting back to work. So many thanks to my amazing staff team for looking after my office while I recovered from surgery, and to my fellow MSPs for filling in for me (especially @kaykinoneill.bsky.social who did so much).

There’s lots to do!

Completely agree with Cllr Collier on this. I cannot see how this proposed data centre benefits the local community, rather it takes a greenfield site, and extracts what it can for the profit of the few, at the expense of wildlife and our environment, with very few jobs and little community benefit.

➡️ will not take a penny off bills
➡️ cannot make us energy secure
➡️ will only accelerate the worsening climate crisis

So why are they now preparing to approve the Jackdaw and Rosebank developments?
