#QueerPrompts Lots! Xan's a linguist, so we go into language a lot. Several alien languages, some ancient alien languages, and because he learned English from I Love Lucy, some of his "English" is actually Spanish. We also have August, who's German.

I'm at the point where I won't go to the hospital, knowing I probably should, because we're still trapped under the bills from my relapse and The Kid's gender affirming care after being cut off by insurance.
I stopped asking for help because of guilt and shame, but...the need is still there.

My autoimmune disease is progressive and terminal; it will make me blind, paralyze me completely, end my life. I have to constantly battle back against it, and I've been doing the bare minimum for years because of cost. I need more, and I need help.

I think debate mindset has kinda ruined our ability to have deep conversations. Everyone’s so worried about being right and defending their point that it’s difficult for people to play with ideas together.

Duolingo is so annoying 😩It’s the only app that teaches Hindi sentence structure (the rest are all lexicon apps) but I find its Whole Deal grating and it doesn’t let you pick what you want to learn like travel phrases.

Reading reviews of The Men Who Stare at Goats is depressing. People just don’t appreciate the depth of that movie. Every last one of the reviews thinks it’s just a silly weird time, but it makes me cry.
