recuperating from surgery is
much more fun with family and friends. much love to @librarian.bsky.social and @bondcliff.bsky.social (and Amy!) for stopping by. and, of course, the visit wouldn’t be complete without flippies for @coldchef.bsky.social

met my new vocal therapist today. she taught me diaphragmatic breathing to help my laryngospasm, and i taught her that your cat will start eating you within three days of your death, usually starting with your nose.

i think we both thought it was a fair trade.

i am practically peeing myself laughing reading the amazing menu that @waverlysm.bsky.social made for my little fatties.

one of my favorite traditions might have just come to a close. kids grow up so fast. me and @bondcliff.bsky.social and our adopted daughter, who we just dropped off at her last year of college ❤️

what’s the true spirit of america?

it’s motherfucking blimps.

or at least it SHOULD be.

home recovering from a broken rib, and fuzzy from the pain meds. made myself a little reminder cheat sheet of important things. i now realize these are probably just good reminders for every day life.

this is not an email i should need to send. this is not an email anybody should ever need to send.

i really wish i had ANY IDEA of why i set myself this calendar alert:

hank has become a fiend for people food in his old age. this is what every meal is like now.

you know you live in a small town when you go out for a walk and your neighbor greets you with “what are you doing out walking? you won FREE GAS!”

i yearn to be at contented as this cat.

since i’m over 50, it’s colonoscopy time! convinced my doctor to let me use cologuard instead of going the traditional route. i was not expecting cologuard itself to be so JUDGEY.

hank is all tiny daggers.
