That's not 'generalizing' – that's racism.
Trump on Somali-Americans in Minnesota: "They're low IQ. I can generalize. They're low IQ people. They're bad people."

'Drill baby drill': Trump opens wilderness to big energy
From the majestic valleys of the Grand Canyon to the granite peaks of the Yosemite national park and ancient trees of Alaska's Tongass National Forest, US President Donald Trump has pledged to make America's federal nature reserves "beautiful again." National parks make up one part of over 600 million acres (243 million hectares) of US public lands that span forests, deserts, waterways and wildlife refuges. "These include some of the most ecologically intact and biodiverse lands in the country," said Jenny Rowland-Shea, who directs public lands policy at the Washington-based think tank, Center for American Progress. But critics say these landscapes are threatened by steep budget cuts and environmental rollbacks that open them to resource extraction. In May 2025, for example, the Trump administration proposed cutting nearly $1 billion (€860 million) from the National Park Service budget — a reduction that park advocates warn could force hundreds of sites to close or sharply scale back services. For Rowland-Shea, the weakening of the National Park Service and its conservation mission "under the guise of 'government efficiency' has only made parks and public lands less safe, less clean, less accessible, and more crowded than ever before." Two months after announcing the cuts,...

ADHD-friendly life tip, which I'm sharing as doing it later today: pick one late afternoon or evening a month, take yourself to a pub, order yourself one (1) drink of your choice, and try to reply to every single outstanding message you've received in the past month before finishing the drink

is it a good sign that 2 people you've invited to be on your "Board of Peace" can't join you in Switzerland because they would be arrested for war crimes?

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

Dear Britain, it’s now clear: 20mph zones save lives and don’t slow traffic. Implement them | Sadiq Khan
There is too much bluff and bluster on this subject. Ordinary people just want safe streets for themselves and those they love, and we can achieve that, says London mayor Sadiq Khan

Journalists, please do not describe what happened at the White House today as a "spat", "heated exchange" or as Zelensky-Trump "going at each other". Zelensky was ambushed by Vance while very calmly explaining why Ukraine needs security guarantees and doesn't trust a ceasefire...

Wow. I've just watched the footage. That was absolutely disgusting. And unstatesmanlike. Revolting behaviour from Vance and Trump. Zelensky behaved like a statesman and an adult and kept his temper. I admire him enormously. Slava Ukraini!
