This week I visited some of the old wild #appletrees I've scavenged years past in the woods and on the neighbors' property (with permission.) Shocked to discover, almost all are dead, or nearing so.
Haven't heard about the loss of naturalized #apples in the midwest, but it's def happening locally.

So frustrating. This cycle trans rights are unlikely to be decisive. So it's a golden opportunity to try the strategy some of us have spent years begging for: call out the press and your opponents for centering divisiveness, and say politicians have no business legislating such local/family issues.

If AI was as prone to errors and general stupidity as Bluesky apparently thinks it is, I'd be much less worried about the threat it poses.

Basically how I remember it. The whole experience was crazy-making. And is why I now think the unraveling due to collective right-wing pathology is inevitable.
