I thought I was the only person who made this hilarious joke. Also have to sing "the heating's on" to the tune of "the heat is on" whenever I put the heating on. And I assume everyone does a Bolanesque "tiramisu...is it you?" when someone orders it in a restaurant?

I don't get out much. 🤔

Reading the independent report into Man City's financial "arrangements" now, stopping after every paragraph, saying "Jesus"..."JESUS!"..."Holy fuck!" and again. This is beyond anything anyone imagined. Also started to wonder whether criminal proceedings are in the picture now.

The Fairford incident is dominating the news cycle - and the right-wing.

Over the past 48 hours we’ve seen speculation, insinuation and implication attempt turn a serious story about security into one about immigration.

This is a long one. Make some tea.
A Dissection: The Fairford Fannywobble
How the right-wing commentariat turned an ongoing investigation into a migrant story before the facts were known.

The first rule of being from Yorkshire is that you must always talk about being from Yorkshire at every possible opportunity. And then create other opportunities to talk about Yorkshire

We deserve better buses in the North East!

Currently there’s a vast range of complicated operator-specific tickets, an array of confusing route names & colours, and MANY duplicated route numbers! (There’s four DIFFERENT number 10s in Newcastle city centre for God’s sake!)

Ooh, I did this journey a few years ago, and it involved several bus replacements, and rather elderly carriages. 😃
These new trains are about to enter service from Zagreb to Split. Are those first class seats as comfortable as they look? Well worth the €30 1st class fare!
A look at Končar's new long-distance unit, including their extremely luxurious First Class with massive reclining seats.

These trains have just entered service on the LONG route from Zagreb to Split (8 hours), so it'll be interesting to see how well they're received on this trip! 👀

Why on earth was Lisa Nandy given the culture secretary post again? Why did she accept it? Has anyone ever bothered to show less of an interest in the department she’s running? It’s ridiculous
When was the last time our Secretary of State for Culture displayed anything approaching this degree of public enthusiasm for our world-class arts industry? Has she been seen anywhere? Given impending charter renewal... did she even bother to visit a single prom?
Never been to the opera before?
Now’s your chance. We’re giving away 70,000 free tickets to the @metopera at the iconic Lincoln Center. Go to on.nyc.gov/opera to enter the lottery. There’s not a bad seat in the house.
