I appreciate the sudden concern for trans-people with the whole "don't elect anti-trans democrats" map deal...

but where was that energy during the primaries?

i just find it odd that there is a ramp up of "hey don't vote for anti-trans (D)" now that its anti-trans (D) vs hunt-trans-for-sport (R)

she chilled out

best guess is she heard "a noise" and decided "nobody gets to sleep"

I caught a few zzzs this morning but my nervous system is cooked and I had /cursed dreams/

She has a yearly check up and vaccinations in early OCT where we will discuss some more anxiety management

im like, is she ok? am i ok? is this bc of the bird migration?

Every year we make the case for keeping leaves, branches, & plant stems in your yard. Bugs need them for shelter! That’s not to say you can’t tidy up: rake leaves into garden beds, around trees, or just in a pile out of the way. All we ask is that you #LeaveTheLeaves! 🍂🐝

They are confronted by a man in a sweater vest, “Heard you been drawin dinosaurs on my walls.” The artist replies, “You heard right.” Artist’s note: I try to do my drawings quickly so they maintain that spontaneous feel I’m going for (something we’ve discussed in previous posts). For this one I ended up redrawing the artist’s pose and subtle facial expression over and over again until it felt right.

noticed Eris' water needed to be changed which led to me tidying and re-arranging her enclosure at like 1:50am

when i came back after brushing my teeth she was out checking out the changes
Eris looping around her enclosure by a dim lamp id left on she was looping up and over and through things which is good, i think she approves

Newspaper headline: WOODLAND FAIRIES DEFEATED IN FLORAL ARRANGEMENT CONTEST. In the article’s photo we see a man in a sweater vest posing next to his winning arrangement with a 1st place medal around his neck. To his left we see his opponents: a defeated band of woodland fairies with their losing arrangement. They look distraught and confused and they should be, reader. How could this happen to the heavy tournament favorites? They’re woodland fairies. Flowers are their life and yet when it was all on the line, they came up short. The winner was just a floral enthusiast not even a professional florist. A shocking defeat and an inspiring win.
