I'm so excited about another BLINK festival here in Cincinnati. Past years have been epic & this year looks to be even grander on every scale. Light installations, animated murals, drone shows, and all manner of light-based art all over downtown...that's BLINK.

The four-night festival started in 2017, to be held every other year. It was canceled in 2021 because of lingering pandemic concerns.

There have been so many impeachable offenses, but lying about how you were a hero on a day that 2,753 people died in NYC in the 9/11 disaster—when you were on the other side of town, safely calling local media to brag about how you now had the tallest downtown building—is such a despicable one

A terrific (and terrifying) case study of what Chinese firms are willing to do, if not encouraged by the Chinese government to do, to "compete" with, and steal market share from, companies outside China. This is just one of many examples of pilferism as policy.

A truly stunning account of greed and corruption, even for #Ohio Republicans, who unashamedly sell out citizens' interests to any corporations who come asking for tax breaks and offering campaign donations (if not cash) in return.

No more single-party rule!

More and more people who have long thought they were "upper middle class" or even "lower upper class" --- generally "yeah, I'm doing fine" --- are starting to feel squeezed by Trump's war economy.

Maybe gas or groceries suddenly became noticeably expensive to them.

Whatever it is...

This story is a great reminder of how silly the "both sides" coverage around bike infrastructure is. On one side we have saving lives, reducing pollution, increasing mobility, and improving quality of life. On the other side we have "But my parking!" and toxic masculinity.

Consider this:

A billionaire could give $100,000 away

each and every day

for 25 years straight

and still have over $80 million left

(and that doesn't even include interest income)

I just heard the biggest thunderclap of my entire life. Like terrifyingly loud.

Weather in Cincinnati has gone off the rails this year -- record rainfall, record heat, record storm intensity -- and I fear it's the new normal.

The US' approach to many things -- largely because of a disturbingly obsessive devotion to capitalism -- is putting unreasonable economic pressures on nearly all Americans, threatening the very fabric of our society. Healthcare is an essential service, not a luxury.

Every.

This administration continues to plumb the depths of absurdity and uselessness, this time by calling bike lanes "DEI" and removing them from recommended and federally funded traffic safety initiatives.

The cartoonish villainy would be amusing if it weren't so harmful.
