If you are in New York, the MET Cloisters is displaying this huge Be’ena’a (Zapotec) sculpture of Tzinacantecuhtli, the Bat Lord. In Mesoamerican myth, bats were believed to be able to travel both heavenly and earthly realms.

It just hit me that it doesn't feel like I've socialized with anyone at all for some time now. Is this why there's this sensation of shame or maybe guilt, and a resistance when people try to strike up a conversation with me privately?
I am way too accustomed to isolating myself for long periods.

We went out to eat for my birthday at an unusual destination, a cafe, since the person paying for everyone's meals had a voucher. The food and drinks were surprisingly great but I don't think it's worth losing sleep over. In like 2 or 3 hours, I'll wake up for work again.
