Did you see this? Home Affairs has denied a visa to the ex-ASIO source who tried to warn about the Bondi gunmen. This is a deeply political decision, and now the Royal Commission may never hear his evidence.

It looks like a stitch up by those who don't want this on the record.

If this government was serious about accountability it would be building an independent AI regulator with real statutory powers, not just another door inside the PM's office for tech lobbyists to knock on.

Not so sure it's in his power to override the Privacy Act.
The PM today said he will allow government data to be consumed by US AI companies which raises real questions of consent, privacy and surveillance risk for every Australian. It's hard to see how that's in the public interest.

Happy NAIDOC 🖤 we're out here making games. I had a really lovely chat about making a rhythm game that honours Country, and working with Wali Studios on Wyrmspace Tactics.

For any child, a mother's hug is the safest place in the world

But not for Sam

Even his mother's hug could not protect him

Unlike other industries, the gaming industry is unable to take a stand against the ethnic cleansing in Palestine.
Big companies dont want the risk, individuals dont know what to do.
If you believe in this medium & want to help.
This is a game about Palestine needs your help

Deeply disrespectful to the entire Australian cultural sector that the Office of the Arts can't be bothered actually reading all the submissions people are working very hard on for the National Cultural Policy, and instead will be asking genAI for a summary.

Palestinian stories were always silenced
This enabled everything to happen. From the Nakba to the current genocide

Telling our stories is not a luxury
Either it will raise awareness to stop the ethnic cleansing Or it will stay as a memory of a people lived & resisted

You mean IGN, owned by Ziff Davis, founded by William Ziff, a Zionist activist and serving president of the Zionist Organization of America "killed" an article showcasing a Palestinian game based on the true story of the Nakba?
Over a year ago, I spoke with @rasheedabueideh.bsky.social about Dreams on a Pillow for a piece that was killed before it could be published. I am honored that he was willing to take the time to speak with me again in spite of that and tell me about his beautiful homeland:

Canadians, if it helps, there's a form on the page where all you have to do is fill in your name, email, postal code, etc and it'll be sent to your local MPP.

It's incredibly important that you speak up on this matter because this is a road we do not want to go down.

Israel is a rogue state which is kidnapping Australian citizens on the high seas in complete disregard for international law.

It’s nothing less than piracy and the Australian government needs to stop hand-wringing and take action.

Call or email your MP now.
