@dawnbutlerbrent.bsky.social is my MP.

I disagree with her on quite a lot.

But she really, really shouldn't have to be on the receiving end of this s**t. Happy to "call it out" Dawn!

Hateful racism, abuse and threats sent to me - just for speaking about Black History Month & blocking people.

BUT... we're still waiting for any news on safe alternative cycle routes!

Tell Westminster Council to take action today... 👇️

The failure to increase the price of petrol is appalling.

We need to continue to point out just how much this has cost the Exchequer (that's our money). Something like £6 bn. p.a. just from the freezing of the accelerator.
Fuel duty is lower than it was in 2010 and drivers are still complaining because cheap fuel has enabled them to choose car dependant lifestyles. And now it bites. Not the govts job to bail you out www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
I earn £30,000. I'm angry there was no fuel duty cut in the Budget

This amount of misinformation and angst around cycling is exhausting.

Madeley and co know that registration doesn't stop road violence, but they just want to punch down on people cycling.

Lets put this energy into tackling violence from drivers instead.

Note to my colleagues in the media:

Please ignore the quotidian horror of those who are struck by, maimed and killed by car drivers, but instead please bang on about cyclists on Oxford Street. That seems a way better story.

Still, only one blocked road (which could be bypassed on foot/carrying bike) and so no excuse not to get out there when wind has moderated to "just windy".
