Fun fact: Dolly Parton spent decades quietly funding band uniforms and instruments at Black high schools across the South - never once putting her name on it. No headlines, no fanfare — just help, given because it was needed.

Wonderful Heart ♥️ RIP Dolly ❤️

Judge to Baby: File an Asylum Application
The 1-year-old is one of the migrant children who advocates say appeared in immigration court without legal representation.

When you look at how relatively inexpensive it is for these measures that will have HUGE practical impact, it makes those who oppose them even more shameful.
HUGE: Seattle will provide free meals to all public school students, starting this fall.

This week the city council unanimously approved $3.6 million to offer universal school meals.

This. All of this 👑
That's what taxes are, man. That's the definition of taxes. "You are subsidizing things you might never use" man shut the fuck up. My taxes currently subsidize like oil company exec private jets, you think I'm upset at low-income people eating inexpensive bananas?
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.

"..before literally ones of people" took me out 🤣
Went down to the Great American State Fair. My personal highlight might have been this Madison cosplayer arguing before literally ones of people that we’re a republic and not a democracy.
