Another thing I really enjoy with masks, when you hide a full head of hair under a bald rubber scalp... even if the hair underneath is ALSO rubber!

Every Pride Month (June), I remember the late Svein Skeid, one of the first to normalize public masking for peacetime purposes. Here are some fun pics of him in disguise at Europride 2005 in Oslo, a bold move in bringing positive awareness to realistic masking.

It's important to stay hydrated when undercover! Sometimes when out incognito I'll duck into somewhere private and just untuck my mask's neck to let the cool air flow underneath. It can be quite a relief while staying disguised!

Hard to believe it was 20 years ago when BASE-jumper Jeb Corliss attempted to glide from the Empire State Building. He wore an elaborate disguise including a really good latex mask with wig that effectively transformed him into a mustached, balding middle-aged man.

Another real face masker in the "Whatever happened to...?" category is this fellow known as "gleamguy." He was another one of the first to actually go out undercover in public for peacetime purposes over 20 years ago, with nobody suspecting he was wearing a disguise!

It's an interesting visual difference, a mask with a good-sized neck nape when it's empty compared to when it's being worn and then the neck is tucked into your outfit...

My little disguise has served me well. It would have been too dangerous for the Changeling as-is to mingle with the mobs, gaining information! But, the underworld never guessed that the informer who betrayed them was the character known as -- Patch!

One thing I love about masks like these are how unassuming they are when worn... just another normal face, until one begins tugging and stretching on it to reveal its fake synthetic and elastic nature!

As a master of disguise, I don't really impersonate anyone in particular; I just like to conceal my own appearance, coming up with fictional identities for my masks.
