A European Starling. Not indigenous to the U.S. but were introduced in 1890 in Central Park by Eugene Schiefflin who wanted to populate the park with birds mentioned by Shakespeare in his works. They are mimes. Don't know if the barking heard is a dog, or is the starling mimicking a dog.
