Something Indigenous Canadian multi-media artist Carl Beam once said to me.
"Well, we're here now, let's learn to get along."

Here's another one by John. It's his birthday today in heaven somewhere.
A shout out to my friend Steve York for the borrowed acoustic.

Reposting this one in honour of my brother John's Birthday today. John wrote so many cool, good songs, here's one of his more quirky ones we hashed out and arranged together. Lyrics by JB.

Blast from the past. Heady times on Queen West. There was a scene in those days. Events like these were an incubator for the years to come. I was part of the tulpa contingent. Like many of the other bands we were ambitious, talented and full of energy.

IN SOLITUDE
This song was a Tulpa song we recorded at Grant Avenue studio in the late 80's.
John's lyrics were inspired by life on the road during one of our short US and Canadian tours.
Where you going with that guitar boy?

I wrote The Parkdale Blues back in the early 90's and it was recorded on my first cassette 'Tangles and Spoils'.
Though the neighbourhood had a lot of charm, Parkdale also had hookers and junkies amidst the big city chaos.
