THE END OF OAK STREET really goes for it, pushing PG-13 to its limits in a super fun adventure. Anne Hathaway is giving Shelley Duvall in The Shining. Excellent set-up and pay-off. Great dog. I laughed, I gasped, I said "come on, man." Deserves to be seen with a big loud crowd 🦖

Finally saw The Odyssey (call me Odysseus bc I was traveling for 2+ weeks...) and the way Nolan manages to organically but clearly tie the story to today is pretty incredible. A bunch of people with American accents crushing rules of decency and cooperation all while fearing outside invaders...ouch

EVIL DEAD BURN is, disappointingly, easily my least favorite film in the series. Just (very well done) nasty unpleasantness in search of a soul. But that hot French director knows how to shoot, even if the edit is perplexing and the screenplay is frustrating.
