On the one hand, my gut tells me the #BlueJays are done with big moves. On the other hand, I struggle to believe that they would enter 2026 with an objectively worse offense (albeit slightly) than they had at the end of 2025, even with the improved pitching.

Admittedly, of the four at the top, Cease was probably the SP I wanted the least because of all of the reasons that the media and influencers have pointed out ad nauseum since the signing, but the fact is that they needed someone, and he absolutely raises their ceiling

I also don't think you pitch to Ohtani again for the remainder of the series. They proved over more than a game's worth of innings last night that that's a viable strategy. Whether it's all IBB or just pitches out of the zone, don't give him a chance.

#BlueJays need to change something to reinvigorate their lineup. Assuming Springer is out, I'd like to see:

I probably would have kept Bichette at SS simply for the familiarity, but honestly, I think infield defense in this series matters less in this series than it did in the ALCS. The Dodgers are overwhelmingly fly ball heavy, and outfield defense is going to be way more important.

Put up time. Bieber matches up favourably vs Rodon. Bieber also has significantly better splits against lefties, which should serve him well in Yankee Stadium. VGJ has crushed Rodon in his career; I can't imagine he gets anything to hit tonight.
