A Portuguese Tekever AR5 drone drawing pretty shapes just offshore west of Lisbon.
The AR5 can be used to drop emergency life rafts.

Tekever is also supplying drones to Ukraine since Spring 2022.

Ireland signs order with France to acquire €500m long-range military radar.
A welcome development. However, much more needed to ensure that the State is adequately protected. The upcoming budget will show how committed the government are regarding defence.

Security Forces have issued a statement that an airstrike to the northeast of Guélédié killed a group of militants.
The airstrike was part of operations against militants who had taken part in the attack on Dioura.

Several targets in and around Kidal were also hit.

JNIM are now claiming that they killed 150 Security Forces members (including a colonel & a captain) in last weeks attack on Dioura & the capture of another 93, while Western news agencies have stated that the death toll was lower, local sources put the number somewhere closer to JNIM's claims.

The #SahelAlerte account on X posted a copy of a Security Forces document warning of a high risk of coordinated militant attacks.
The document mentions Sevare, Saye and the Konna – Cargue – Diambakourou triangle as likely targets and warns specifically of drone attacks.

Mystery is continuing over the whereabouts of Spanish national Juan Mirales Gomez a resident of Bobo-Dioulasso.

Last seen on 04.09 in a bar in the city center, however his family lost all contact with him on the 22.08.

JNIM continues to deny any involvement in his disappearance.

According to recent reports from Africa Intelligence, the Government of National Unity (GNU) in Tripoli is actively negotiating with the Nigerien authorities in Niamey to facilitate the supply of military hardware directly to the armed group led by Toubou warlord Mohamed Wardougou.

Security Forces reportedly carried out a drone strike on the village of Guèllèdjè, in central Mali reportedly killing 07 civilians.
Several others were seriously injuried and evacuated to the Ténenkou for treatment.

The first of 12 Bell AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters ordered for the Nigerian Air Force has entered production at Bell’s Amarillo facility in Texas.

Bell expects production of all 12 AH-1Zs to be completed by early 2029.
