so has anyone got any divorce advice for a first-timer? the main piece of advice I've got is that if your marriage seems like it's about to collapse it's a good idea to be on top of your laundry otherwise you're going to be stuck in a car with a lot of your dirty clothes

I remember when I was 22 I fell out with a friend and was baffled that he turned out to be a dick because "how could he be? He loves Can as much as I do!" and I realised that liking the same bands isn't the same as enjoying their company

when you get the shakes so good it makes it hard to use phone that’s when you need to remind yourself that a skeleton warrior doesn’t need to use a phone
i don’t know why but when i get the shakes it really makes me feel closer to my ego ideal of being a Ray Harryhausen skeleton warrior

found out today that the “mates rate” my former friend the glazier gave me to replace my windows was in fact a 60% markup. hope you enjoyed spending that extra grand i couldn’t afford to part with on speed, Phil!!!!

working in chemistry at a bleach factory - one time we got a contract from a crap nursing home company so we had to make a carpet that simulated a neglectful nursing home to try and formulate something we could sell to them. it got soaked in milk, mulled wine and a touch of butyric acid. delightful
main thing i learnt working at the bleach factory is there is very little life can throw at you that you can’t undo with generous quantities of hypochlorite, QACs and (after a very thorough rinse) a weak acid. Unless dairy’s involved in which case you have to start traversing the enzyme domain.

she decided she was going to bake me muffins in the 30mins between the gym and meeting me, couldn’t find her muffin pan so cooked it in a bundt pan, but it got stuck, then it got warm in her van and the icing melted so i now have a squashed muffin briquette in foil in my kitchen. i would die for her
watching out for an erratically driven peugeot passenger van so i know when my hippiest friend has arrived
