Hi! Since others are talking about my book, thought I'd share a little about it. The book is a love letter to women everywhere wondering why their time just isn't adding up. It turns out, it's not you! We are getting massively squeezed by structural changes! 🧵

I think this is such an important point. All the arguments about trans athletes talk about trans girls for a reason. When you're talking about trans boys they fall flat!!
the most famous high school trans athlete in Texan history is by a significant margin Mack Beggs, who pretty clearly would have made everyone happier had he wrestled other boys like he wanted to, and that would also have been better for safety and for fairness

#EconSky if you know of anyone awesome who does experimental work on gender who was on the job market in the last couple years and underplaced or needs to change, we're looking at creating a fellowship in this area that would be a great reset--please have them email me [email protected].

Disappearing parents and contributors and possibly orphaning children because Stephen Miller wants a white America.
This morning in Danbury, ICE was arresting parents at school bus stops.

But it’s more sinister. ICE waited until the kids were on the bus so when they are dropped off at the end of the day, they are alone, scared to death they can’t find their parents.

I’m heading to Danbury.

There are four overlapping scandals here:

1. Fundraising spam tactics are hallmarks of elder financial exploitation
2. The Dem establishment is in on it
3. Most of what is raised goes to fundraising consultants
4. Capitulation to legal threats by NYT and The Bulwark on a fully vetted story

This makes me think of Odysseus's men. How awful.
There have reportedly been multiple attempts by sailors to jump overboard the USS Abraham Lincoln as poor conditions and mental stress reach a breaking point.

The crew is in its ninth month at sea, and has spent 250 days consecutively without making land, a record

Cool study by @corinnelow.com with Nava Ashraf, Natalie Bau, and Xiaoyue Shan on how teaching girls negotiation skills can benefit them & where they live. Research was done in Zambia, benefits were 9x cost, as girls stayed in school longer & married later. knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu/article/how-...

The legal definition of a concentration camp is a place where civilians are held without due process. That is what Dilley is and all of these places where people are held captive simply for who they are.
Close the concentration camps. Free the families. Bring them home.

So many immigrants I've interviewed break down about this. "Monsanto Maler was one of several Haitian immigrants who traveled from Springfield for a check in...after an ankle monitor was attached to him, Maler was seen collapsing to the ground and crying." www.springfieldnewssun.com/local/hundre...

👀 #49ers Coach Shanahan tells reporters his Tesla was on autopilot before his July 11 accident and he doesn't know whether it malfunctioned or he accidentally turned it off when he retrieved his phone from the backseat.

Has he even SEEN the latest season of Bridgerton?

(As an economist studying assortative matching, this is not and has never been true. Men have never been picky about sexual pairing, but marital matching is another story.)
"I want to touch on what you said: .. the economic challenges facing young people impact men and women. One hundred percent true. But this is the bottom line, and I don’t think we like to admit this: Beyoncé could work at [KFC] and marry Jay-Z. The opposite is not true."

I heard the record scratch.

This is how married Rep Chuck Edwards invited a staffer to an Adam Sandler show. The assembled puzzle says, in part, "my track record with you for comedy is not very good"--alluding to past sexual harassment I'm sure!! Being a young woman in any profession is EXHAUSTING.
This just might be the most psychotic act of sexual harassment I’ve ever seen. Not the worst per se, or most menacing but in terms of sheer insanity it’s really up there.

There is a palpable sense of fear among the Haitian community right now. They need your support.
My Haitian friend was just fired from his job. "They said I don't have a legal status now."

This is likely happening to hundreds of thousands of people across this country today. Sick.
