The 50-Year Buffer: By moving the "extinction-risk" technology off earth, we buy time to find peace. Our grandchildren won't be fighting over the Dnieper or the Donbas; they will be the first generation to live in a world where "War" is an orbital logistical challenge, not a terrestrial bloodbath.
