My second series of rosettes. I started with 1 yard of silk: this beautiful off-white gingham. The bolt was a bit wider, so I made 14 rosettes. This is a lovely mix of petershams too, many shades of green, from avocado to celadon. Everything is up on my site now for those interested.

10 months ago, I immersed myself in the fascinating history of prize ribbons & found myself particularly drawn to one type. I had trouble finding a detailed guide online. So, I decided not only to learn how to create them but also to put together a great tutorial! What do you think?

I made myself a slot-together plywood Christmas tree in mid-December… and somehow finished it in time. She’s joyful, painted, slightly chaotic, and living with exactly one chunky light strand.
If you want to see the whole process (including my 1940s inspiration), it’s up now.

Simple work often has a quiet confidence that takes time to build. We’re allowed to have a lighter season, or a series that feels less grand. Right? Right! The work doesn’t have to prove anything… it just has to exist. These paper quilt collages are trying to teach me that! corriebethmakes.com/shop
