Visa-free isn’t open-ended: UAE nationals get 30 days in Eswatini, with extension at Home Affairs

That’s the rule to keep in mind. Entry status tells you how you get in. The stay limit tells you when you have to leave

Planning from a Latvian passport? Check the label, not the vibe
Latvia has 117 visa-free destinations, but 10 still need an ETA
27 are VOA, 30 need an eVisa, and 14 need a visa
That label is the part to read before you book
September 29, 2026 at 5:05 PM
20 minutes or 90 for memory?
McGill found both protected memory about equally after a sleepless night
For red-eyes, that beats pretending the calendar will remember for you

Would you expect Andorra to get 60 days on arrival in Papua New Guinea?

Officially, it does. The route is country-specific, the stay is limited, and the label tells you only part of the story

Check the exact entry rule before you

“90 days is 90 days.” Wrong. Schengen is a rolling 90/180 window, and tax residency thresholds are a separate count
September 25, 2026 at 2:15 PM
Angola to Seychelles is 90 days, but it still needs an ETA
Angola to Seychelles is 90 days, but all visitors still need a mandatory ETA before travel. The label alone is incomplete before you rely on it
September 24, 2026 at 5:43 PM
90/180 is one rule. Tax residency is another

A clean calendar can still hide a Schengen overstay or a tax-residency problem
Countly keeps location history on-device, so the record stays yours

Why does a strong passport still hit hard stops?

Thailand has 40 visa-free destinations, 31 VOA, 44 eVisa, and 78 that still require a visa.

The label on the passport matters less than the rule at the border
September 22, 2026 at 5:27 PM
Booked the flight, but does the day count still fit? Check the rule before you trust the total. If the border uses a rolling window, count the trip against that window, not the calendar dates.

90/180 already on your calendar?

That’s the late signal.
A rolling window cares about what came before, so the clean-looking trip is often the one that needs the most checking

Before you rely on it, rebuild the record
September 20, 2026 at 5:39 PM
"I can just add up my trips later." No. Schengen uses a rolling 90/180 window, and tax residency thresholds depend on the exact days on the record

Can your travel log survive a missing day?

A gap in the timeline changes the count. Fill it, correct it, then check the record against the rule before you rely on it

Countly lets you edit and resolve gaps on your phone

UAE passport, heading to Zambia?
You’re visa-free for 90 days per 12-month period. The part that matters is the window, not just the entry
September 17, 2026 at 2:09 PM
Miss one midnight, and your count is already wrong?

That’s the signal the cheap check is gone

Rebuild the trip from the days you can verify, then test that record against the 90/180 window and any residency threshold separately before you rely on it

Stop assuming arrival fixes entry.

For Antigua & Barbuda travelers to Cape Verde, the record says visa required, and the route is advance visa via embassy/EASE.

Check the entry rule before you book

Enter Schengen on 15 Feb with zero prior days used. Your hard exit is 15 May—unless you spent 30 days there in the prior 180 days, then it's 14 Apr. The rule: 90 days inside any 180-day rolling window. Every prior Schengen day shifts your exit forward by one day.

Czechia gets 117 visa-free destinations.

The rest is the part people miss:
11 ETA
29 visa on arrival
26 eVisa
15 still visa required

That mix is the record, not the headline rank
September 15, 2026 at 2:28 PM
Still counting Schengen days on your phone?
A boarding pass, two stamps, and a calendar that looks fine until it doesn’t
That’s the part people miss, the trip is easy, the count is the thing that moves

Travelling UAE → Israel on "visa-free"?
Check the current entry rule before you rely on it. ETA-IL became mandatory for visa-exempt nationals from 1 Jan 2025, and stale visa-free notes can send you off by 90 days
September 14, 2026 at 2:21 PM
Stop calling Malta’s passport visa-free. It reaches 198 destinations, but 13 still need a visa and 26 need an eVisa

The label is tidy. The record is mixed

Does your calendar show when your 90 days actually run out? It doesn't. A static date view treats all days the same. Schengen's 90/180 rolling window means each day that exits frees up one day you can spend. A live timeline shows exactly what's left.

If Mauritania is on your route, visa on arrival isn't the step anymore

Since Jan 2025, entrants need online approval before travel. Then it’s fee and biometrics on arrival

So the check is simple: if you don’t already have that approval, the trip isn’t ready yet
September 12, 2026 at 5:11 PM
Djibouti gives Albanian passport holders 90 days on arrival. Why trust memory when one date can matter more than the trip?

The working detail is the entry date. Miss that, and the record gets fuzzy fast
September 11, 2026 at 5:39 PM
**Boarding passes** prove you flew, not where you were when it counted. Travel docs show movement; location logs show presence. If the rule concerns days in a country, movement alone is weak proof. Count the days, keep the record.

Need Iceland’s entry split without counting it yourself?

113 visa-free, 10 ETA, 31 visa on arrival, 27 eVisa, 17 visa required.

198 destinations total. The count is the useful part
