Beans aren't the villain. A new meta-analysis of 20 trials found that eating a cup of legumes daily lowers LDL cholesterol by 5% and improves fasting insulin. The 'anti-nutrient' fear is overblown.

Reading about how anxious someone was running without a tracking device! It made me feel sad, both for them but also for a society that feels they need to track everything. I’m hopeful most of us who run with our dogs realize one simple truth:

It’s never about the metrics, it’s all about the joy 🥰

🐢 It’s turtle nesting season in B.C.! If you uncover tiny turtle eggs while gardening, leave them where they are and keep pets away.

Apologies to folks who responded to my original post, had to correct spelling error (wish BSKY would allow edits). The joy of seeing a rescue dog "bloom" is a deeply moving and truly enriching experience - it makes us a better person for it.

Dog intelligence isn't one-size-fits-all; it depends on a breed's purpose. Experts divide it into instinctual, obedience, and adaptive intelligence. While a Border Collie excels at quick commands, a Staffy shows its brilliance through independent and adaptive problem-solving.

Over 50? Your balance might predict how long you stay strong and independent. Try this: stand on 1 leg for 10 seconds while brushing your teeth. If it’s wobbly, that’s your new daily drill. How long can you hold today? this is gold! #FitnessSky #BalanceTraining

Canicross isn't about speed. It's about trust, communication, and learning to move as one. Step by step, pull by pull. He runs with pure joy and zero doubts. I run trying to keep up and be worthy of that trust. That's canicross.
