Earlier this year Freeplay announced that 2026 might be their last year of operation.

I've spent the last few weeks talking to people in and around Freeplay about this point in its history regarding how its changed, its relationship to funding and what it might look like in the future.

we literally root for charlie brown every step of the way, he is the main character the show has told us to love. he is who we want to see win. and then when lucy pulls the football away, the show is telling us it does not respect our time as a viewer.

MASSIVE strike at QUT today. About 200 of us on the picket line demanding better working and learning conditions from our overpaid corporate managers. Such incredible solidarity.

Many people don't understand probability very well and many of them are resistant to having it explained to them. This leads some designers to creating mechanics that work like the player's instinctive (read: fucking wrong) understanding of probability, further confusing everyone.
This might be the opposite of what you wanted as a response to posting it, but: what in particular drives you mad?

Genuinely curious because I have extremely narrow band exposure (my own TTRPG games which often have very high probability literacy) but am making modules I want to share more widely.

Scrubjay is still early, messy in some places (and not chasing seamless UI regardless) but I hope you'll enjoy playing with this very personal web gathering tool.
