BREAKING WaPo:

A federal judge just ruled that the Trump admin broke the law when it ordered a 50% cut in FEMA employees — including thousands of on-call workers who respond to disasters.
Federal judge rules Trump plan to cut FEMA by 50 percent was unlawful
The judge said the plan, put together by DHS, appeared as if it was "pulled from thin air" and would impede FEMA's ability to fulfill its legally mandated duty to respond to disasters.

Such a smart take.
God already built a wall through Big Bend — it's called the Chisos Mountains.

We don't need to give billions of our tax dollars to out of state vendors.

We don't need to desecrate this sacred land.

We don't need this useless, disgraceful, corrupt Big Bend border wall.

Democrats desperate to put the primary acrimony behind them might find a silver lining: the unexpected closeness of the result seemed to have triggered some much-needed humility and magnanimity rather than chest-thumping.
While pundits and partisan axe-grinders told us for weeks the race turned on an ideological schism in the party, ordinary voters, even in primaries that attract the most partisan segment of the electorate, choose between real candidates, not partisan manifestos.

If American democracy fails, everything people here care about - Gaza, climate change, spelling reform, whatever - gets worse. (Just ask the people now dying in Africa.)

So prioritize your voting as if you're a reasoning, capable adult, and not a single-issue child holding your breath.

With *so much* always happening, the Broadview Six case has not gotten the attention it deserves.

It is a tremendous victory and shows how BS authoritarian tactics can CRUMBLE under scrutiny.

Many kudos to the brave and tenacious defendants who beat them back! Here's to more justice OTW!

Nice to wake up to some good news: a victory for the democratic opposition on no new funding for ICE and
Border Patrol.

All credit to Senate Dems, who held firm and prevailed.

All honor to the people of Minneapolis, who showed the way in resisting and defeating the forces of authoritarianism.
