Latest WSJ poll:

"63% want to pause AI development
61% want a billionaire wealth tax
59% want Medicare for All
57% want a $20 minimum wage
58% want to end U.S. military aid to Israel"

This is the center of the country politically. it is time all adjust to this political spectrum, esp. media.

The fact that the Washington Sun wordmark logo does not have any sun graphic motif is brand marketing malpractice. If they hired me, I would put a light ray disc centered on the workmark and masked by the words. I guess we should not expect the best brand marketing from the geniuses behind NOT US.

Posters promoting early voting plastered up on the vacant Rudolph’s Barbecue at Lyndale Ave S and Franklin Ave W. QR code simply goes to vote.org, but the guerrilla marketers appear to likely be unaffiliated with the 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization. @daviss.org

Thanks to all who stopped by our Transit to Work Day celebration downtown!

As regular riders know, commuting by transit is a great way to save money, ease stress, lower carbon emissions, and get the day started right.

whenever you feel like you’re too small to change anything know that citizens from small towns and cities that speak up against flock and axon cameras in their communities (and sometimes get arrested for it) are fighting and sometimes succeeding against this
BREAKING: The Trump administration is using a grant program from the 1980s to force cities around the US to funnel their ongoing collection of Flock, Axon, and other ALPR data into large federal surveillance centers that fall under the White House’s jurisdiction, 404 Media has learned

How the federal government built a massive database of license plate reader data through an anti-drug trafficking program.

My father became allergic to dairy milk because he saved money by drinking water instead. Later, when he had money again, he had other kinds of milk with his muesli. My mother could afford dairy milk. These people simply don’t see the inherent humanity in all people, their need for food & shelter.

We are at City Hall to call out @mayorjacobfrey.bsky.social for his disgraceful steal of climate funding to fill his budget gap. That money comes from our utility bills and is funding home energy retro fits for low-income residents..

SHAME on Mayor Frey! We need City Council to fix his mistake.

My thoughts on last night’s BET levy-setting. Not the outcome I hoped for but very happy to have fully funded Parks and highlighted my concerns about MPD overspending and the City’s financial direction.

That work will continue.

SEN ERIC SCHMITT: these texts proved you perjured yourself and you were in Atlanta at a United game.

SEN KLOBUCHAR: Could he have been at a Minnesota United game?

NEW AD: Today on House Hunters, Ken Paxton is shopping for a new house.

Will he buy the three-story luxury lodge in Oklahoma? The condos at a wellness resort in Utah? The ocean-view property in Hawaii?

(Spoiler alert: He won’t take one — he’ll take 15.)

🤡 Schmitt beclowns himself 🤡

Schmitt concocted an elaborate conspiracy theory that Smith traveled to Atl for a Hawks game and to collude with Fani Willis, & flashed his "evidence" before accusing Smith of perjury. There's just one problem -- his facts were totally wrong.

Here's the whole sequence:

I think we can all agree that Klobuchar is in her element here.
A phenomenal moment in the Senate.

Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta.

Smith denies it.

Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury.

Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland.

An 11.7% maximum property tax increase would equate to approximately a 18.1% property tax receipt increase for the median-value home in Minneapolis, currently valued at $351,400. In Longfellow (South Minneapolis), rising home values would pencil to around a 20.4% property tax receipt increase.

-11.7% increase to property tax levy approved.
-Park board fully funded; Tom Olsen insults mayor by offering a $300k discount to parks levy (I was willing to throw in two quarters I found in abandoned Aldi shopping carts yesterday)
