What I find fun is messy drama, romance, betrayals, secrets, choices, and consequences. When you remove all of that but keep "looks like an 80s movie and they fly around and shoot stuff." That's not "fun" enough.
Real movies have all of those things and we should demand more.

My Star Wars hot take is that the franchise *should* balance the pure, popcorn flick fun, alongside bold swings in storytelling. Both are possible to exist and would work better with regular releases and not this idea of holding it back and limiting them all to these big “events.”

Nerd tangent, but I love how the Empire is now using outdated models in the Mando Movie. Furthers the idea that they’re scrapped together and unorganized.
Like repurposing Clone AT-RTs, vehicles that have been retired for 30 years, or the AT-AT prototype from Rebels, instead of the movie variant.
