I know everyone and their mom is eulogizing Dolly today…but can we also just acknowledge that part of why her passing is so awful is that she’s one of the very few people who managed to achieve every conceivable level of wealth and success and still STAY A GOOD PERSON?? Fuck, I hate this timeline.

Serious question: will your job application portal be using any algorithmic tools to sort through resumes? I’m hoping to submit something creative, but I don’t want to end up shooting myself in the foot if it never ends up in front of a human eye.
I love how every wealthy person’s response when someone tries to check their privilege is “but I worked HARD for my money!” As if (a) we’re not ALL busting our asses constantly, and (b) at least half of them still benefitted from access that the rest of us can barely dream of.

I’ve worked in a lot of different industries: food service, retail, media, tech, fitness, marketing… you know what I’ve never seen? A CEO that was truly smarter or more capable than an above average employee.
