A psychologist friend of mine was recently asked to give a presentation at the public board meeting. She agreed. Then she was given very strict criteria to follow to 'manage optics'.

I found it very stressful to work in Mental Health services, & can’t see I’d ever do it again. Looking back, I can still feel it physically in my body. The huge level of ‘othering’ shaped everything. The culture was intrinsically oppressive, even if there were decent people working within it.
