I enjoy watching the CPL. There are some fantastic players on the field + the vibes in the crowd always seem so fun.
lol ‘home crowd’, but gd what an innings that was from Shanaka.

Outrageous batting, several sixes were all rather huge (over 80m) as well!

Interesting perspective from this paper on "Man Computer Symbiosis" by Joseph Licklider from 1960 on the tasks that took the most time when conducting research.

Really explains why it feels like technological advancements in recent decades have been occurring at an almost exponential speed.

Somehow I am only now realizing how unique the US's relationship is with the stock market considering the extent to which retirees' livelihood is tied up in it. The US 401(k) is distinctive in how it voluntarily funnels tens of millions of ordinary workers into self-directed stock market investing.

I’m going you say it - I love Aiden Markram as a cricketer. That catch he took, and his reaction after? *swoon*

Definitely think it’s time to question SKY’s place in the Indian #cricket team’s batting order. Seems like coach GG gets along with SKY, so I’m not sure I see him being dropped from the side just yet

But dam he needs to score runs. His captaincy alone doesn’t justify his place in the team

Genuinely curious why the headline doesn’t explicitly use the phrase “US Citizen shot by ICE agent..” when that’s literally what happened

The Aussies women cricket team is built different.

Like dam that top 4 of Healy, Lithcfield, Perry and Mooney.

I’m honestly not sure who I’m rooting for this semi final. From India’s pov, I’m hoping for another Mandhana 💯

I cannot think of a power couple similar to Mitch Starc and Alyssa Healy in any other sport.

Healy in particular is in beast mode this WC and I absolutely love it.

Frankly, I think they still can pivot messaging a little and call out the destruction to the constitutional order.

This will be a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think this fight over the ACA subsidies is what the Dems should have chosen for the shutdown messaging.

The subsidies don’t expire for three months. There would have been time for lawmakers to broker a broader deal that includes ACA subsidies

If and when Dems ever retake the White House, they need to remember all of these attempts by the Trump admin at ‘soft regulation’ — essentially terrorizing companies you don’t like by filing lawsuits against them as a way of getting them to change policies
