My stepdad is going on hospice this weekend. I'm super sad, obviously, but also relieved. He has been going THROUGH IT for so long and I'm shocked he's even still alive at this point. They can't keep doing ten thousand horrible procedures just to keep his engine running. It's too much.

Update: Talked to BIL. I had assumed this guy ran into BIL somewhere and through chatting discovered the connection. NOPE. This guy drove down from Chicago and KNOCKED ON THE DOOR OF MY OLD HOUSE. From there, he discovered my BIL & sister live down the street, so he went to their house. AT NIGHT.
Update: This dude friend requested me on FB. I accepted it bc that's the normal way to catch up with someone. He immediately called me on Messenger. I obviously didn't answer. Then I saw 6 DMs from him, which he must have deleted before I could read them. VERY NORMAL.
Sooo my brother-in-law apparently ran into some guy I met at a Catholic teen retreat thing I barely remember and he told BIL he's doing a bucket list, part of which includes "reuniting" with me and coming to my house?? Um, I hope the best for this man but NO?
