There is no liking this version of our country.

If you can afford to send your kid to a private school, then you can drive them or pay for their Ubers.

But Dayton, Ohio decided to dump the burden on the public school kids instead and prioritized school buses for the private schools.

They were supposed to be deporting “gang members” and “criminals.”

So far, they have kidnapped people working their day jobs and folks lawfully showing up for their immigration court appearances…

It was always a lie.

Trump said he loves the poorly educated and, soon, he'll have many many more of them to love.
The "big, beautiful bill" weaponizes working-class reliance on debt to finance the college dream with such intensity that not only will it push millions to the financial brink, it will push them out altogether.

Whatever schools survive are likely to be populated only by society’s wealthiest.

It's important to challenge this in the courts. It's also important to understand that Trump engages in performative behavior when he wants you to ignore something else he's doing. Don't look away.

Trump just issued a sweeping new travel ban.

The ban fully restricts people from Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

The ban partially restricts Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.

Evasion of peer review is a hallmark of pseudoscience.

But even more insidious is the obviation of scientific scrutiny by publishing in pseudoscientific journals that exist to provide an illusion of scientific legitimacy.

There’s nothing new about MAHA’s propaganda tactics.

Love this headline. It’s like, “That Tra’von! We all know how much he enjoys his unannounced strolls!” <chuckle & sigh>
Tra'Von Johnson made his latest escape Thursday night from the Tangipahoa Parish Jail, which has a history of jailbreaks involving a half dozen inmates in recent years, the sheriff's office said.

The Port of Seattle is empty. No shipping containers. No ships.

This is one of the busiest ports, and there's nothing coming in or going out. This is what we call a "leading indicator". Store shelves are doing to start emptying out & they're not going to be refilled.

For a country, the only death knell equivalent to “Militarized police” is “New media.”
Dom Lucre, who is known for sharing misleading information and was once banned from X for sharing child sexual abuse material, was at the White House today.

Lucre said he was among the invited guests for a briefing dedicated to "members of the new media" by Karoline Leavitt.
