Something big may be happening: Trump's world-historical misrule may be creating the conditions for the emergence of a coalition similar to the one that ousted Viktor Orban earlier this year: Anti-corruption, anti-authoritarian, pro-democracy.

I made this case here:

But it’s also true that these systems are just misogynistic.

And we’re so busy holding victims to an impossibly high standard that we forget to ask the most basic questions about whether people like police did their jobs effectively.

This is one of those headlines where, though they are becoming more and more common, it requires such a leap of imagination for normal people, that the scale of it is is hard to communicate. It’s like our world is screaming at us, but it’s in a frequency most of us can’t hear.

Like this gives the Saudis a content veto power over EA, Bioware, Paramount, CBS, Nickelodeon, Showtime, and BET, and if the newest merger gets approved they’ll also have content veto power over HBO, CNN, the whole WB universe, Discovery, TBS, TNT, plus the PGA and ATP. It’s pretty stunning.

But it might not. And even if it doesn't, why would you miss this chance to expose someone who wants to destroy you?
