Every military thriller needs characters who have something bigger than themselves to lose.

In The 51st State Series, loyalty, duty and survival don't always point in the same direction.

Which matters most to you in a protagonist: courage, loyalty or leadership?

Canada is usually the peaceful neighbour in the background of American thrillers.

Imagine waking up to the news that Canada has been invaded by its closest ally.

What would you do first: fight, flee, protect your family—or find a way to bring the country together?

Those experiences helped shape The 51st State Series.
