Communication is more powerful than any "technical" skill.

Why?

A person with low technical skills can marshal an army of experts.

But a person with low communication skills has only a nice product and the hope someone might discover it.

Technical ability in both is a force multiplier.

Frodo's journey through middle earth is interesting as a metaphor for entrepreneurship.

The most powerful part?

"The Seven"

Frodo would never survive the journey alone. But with wise and capable counsel, the challenges didn't upend his purpose.

No leader succeeds alone.

Knowledge alone is a bad predictor of leadership success.

Actual leadership success depends on wisdom because it shifts how you lead.

It’s also a skill you can build if you want to.

If you're curious and want the full guide, check out the book link in my profile.

Plans aren't bad. Poorly managed plans are bad.

Getting stuck on the plan is as bad whiplashing everybody with shifting options. Both extremes slow things down.

Great leaders have a plan but it doesn't lock them in. They plan, they learn, and then they adjust.

True in your experience?

Who's worth following around here? I'm looking to follow these kinds of folks:

• Founders of tech companies (especially 2nd time founders)
• Founders of services companies
• Faith-driven entrepreneurs
• Helpful and kind people who are looking for ways to encourage others

Who've you got?
