This is very cool. NYC chose this company to put curbside chargers in. They use power from the buildings they are adjacent to, run beneath the sidewalk, which avoids the need to dig up the street & connect to the main power line. They are also BYOC -- bring your own cable. Light, fast, unobtrusive.

If you're going to have to walk in traffic either way, why not take the shorter path through the garage? I guess @portofseattle.bsky.social and @flysea.bsky.social want pedestrians walking through all the parking stalls 🤷🏻♂️

It's really frustrating to see such an important committee chaired this way. Rob Saka's focus on style over substance costs all of us in the city.
Transportation committee chair Rob Saka is in a mad dash to get his "SAFER Streets Act" (actually three bills) across the finish line before fall budget season. That's leading to a lot of cut corners, including entire city departments being kept out of the loop.

WSDOT is so bad at trail bollards. The ones at the east end of the @sr520.wsdot.wa.gov trail have been missing for months.

Kinda ridiculous. I could swear parking these vehicles in the street used to be allowed.
I got a warning from Lime after parking the bike on a legal parking spot on the road in a residential street. I didn’t realize scooters and bike share have to be parked on the sidewalk. No wonder it’s a mess on sidewalks…

This was me today crossing multiple times without the light after the train got messed up and I was trying to suss out whether the 106 or a replacement train (which didn't let on passengers) would get me to Lynwood on time. MLK should be 1 car lane each direction.
People make "bad" decisions on / crossing MLK all the time because it's loud, stressful, there's 4 lanes of fast traffic and 2 "lanes" of train, legal intersections are really far apart, etc. Stress makes people make errors! Design should reduce risk and not depend on perfect decision making.

Hot take: If @flysea.bsky.social wants to run a golf cart along the only pedestrian connection to the light rail they should just drive it at walking speed instead of taking half the space and honking at people.
