Almost every time I 'm on social media and my gf asks me what am I reading, the answer is "nothing important". This makes me wonder if I should spend so much time on SM because, in most cases, I don’t gain any value from it.

Do you people here subscribe to Substacks? I love many of the writers here, but it feels absolutely unsustainable - like if I'd like to support ~5-10 writers (and let's be real, it's not that many) I'd have to spend more money than on a magazine sub that includes writings from many more authors.
