I know there are long running wastewater testing programs in Australia for illegal drugs (NDARC regularly publish data on this) plus infectious disease level monitoring (more so since COVID).

But is Australia monitoring wastewater for anything else?

I'm sure left turn on red (after stopping) used to be a thing in NSW when signposted? Is it not anymore? I've not seen signage for it in years.
allowing drivers to proceed on a red light is inherently and inescapably anti-social

An AI flyer is a brown M&M test. If your event or business is cutting corners by using an AI flyer, where else are you cutting corners? What else are you cheating out on? Why should I be bothered to go somewhere you couldn't be bothered to promote with a little of your own personality?

Most bath times this guy saves the day.

Over the years he’s rescued dinosaurs, superheroes and sea creatures.

Our kids are pretty clear this is unambiguously and definitively one of the good guys. I think the vast majority of grown ups would agree with them.

“Mathematics only makes sense as a gift economy. It has no trade secrets. Substituting a monetizable ersatz culture for the one evolved through historical experience is a particularly insidious form of knowledge collapse.”

What’s the problem w using LLMs to write stuff you want other people to read -emails, articles, posts- and why are people (like me!) so incredibly hostile that they will block you/mute you/block your domain, to never read anything from you again?
